Washington County, MD - Southern Boulevard Phase IHetzer was awarded this new roadway project by Washington County on December 19, 2016.  Built in 2017-2018, the roadway was built between East Oak Ridge Drive and Frederick Street to alleviate traffic across the Funkstown one lane bridge.  The boulevard allows motorists to bypass Funkstown, helping to ease congestion in town. The $7 million road — built with both county and the state funds — connects Frederick Street and Oak Ridge Drive.
