2020 - Contract Awards:  On the heels of a very busy 2019, work added in 2020 includes:

• MdSHA FR0935177 - IS-70 WACO Line to Grindstone Run:  Bid on January 9, 2020, Hetzer was awarded this $5.5-million dollar general contract for improvements to I-70 near Myersville, MD in Frederick County.  The work includes 30,230-TN of HMA paving towards accel/decel widening for median crossover, pavment grinding, resurfacing, overlay, partial depth patching, traffic barrier upgrades, stormwater management facilities, and shoulder stabilization.  
• MdSHA WA2455180 - HMA Paving for I-70 over MD 65 Stage 2 Improvements - Dual Bridges over MD65 & CSX Railroad:  Bid on January 16, 2020, Hetzer will be performing a $4.4-million dollar paving subcontract for project general contractor, Concrete General, Inc. of Gaithersburg, MD.  Work includes 50,500-TN of HMA paving for the $24.6 million dollar road and bridge project.  Located 3-miles north of our headquarters, the project is planned for an August 2022 completion.
• TB&H New Plant Sitework:  10-AC civil sitework for the future Thomas, Bennnett, & Hunter (TB&H) concrete plant.  Located on Hopewell Road just west of the existing Purina Mills facility, the work includes earthwork, SWM facilities, site utilities, bioretention swale, Hopewell Road entrance improvements, and landscaping,  A spring start and 6-month duration is anticipated.
