Christopher's Crossing Roadway

Project Overview:

City of Frederick - Christopher's Crossing Roadway  On August 1, 2018, Hetzer was awarded this $4.9 million dollar new roadway and Conspan triple-arch culvert construction general contract for the City of Frederick, MD.  This project includes new construction of 1,850 linear feet of a four (4) lane primary arterial roadway extension of Christopher’s Crossing including a stream crossing using three (3) 24’ open-bottom Con/Span arches, a roundabout with associated roadway improvements to Poole Jones Road and an existing portion of Christopher’s Crossing, and improvements to approximately 500 linear feet of Walter Martz Road. The project also includes roadway excavation/embankment, bituminous concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, water main, sanitary sewer, storm drainage system (pipes, inlets, and manholes), stormwater management facilities, new bridge foundations, new bridge, bituminous and portland cement concrete sidewalks, landscaping, maintenance of traffic, fine grading and sediment control, installation of street lights, and miscellaneous site work.  A June 2020 completion is anticipated.
